If a few years ago we had the chance to travel to the future in a time machine and see what humanity is doing to planet Earth, we would undoubtedly be more aware of our actions, or at least we could hope so.
In October 2019, Chile woke up to the social injustices, inequalities and segregation tha korea whatsapp number t many citizens experience every day.
If we look at it from a broader perspective, focusing on positive aspects, we could say that the organisation at the territorial level deserves all the applause. The sense of neighbourhood belonging took centre stage, the communal kitchens returned and local organisations began to form part of something bigger: a community.

When we talk about community, the first thing that comes to mind is union or connection, but there is something more, social cohesion. In the Report of the Advisory Council for Social Cohesion, of the Ministry of Social Development and Family , the concept is referred to based on the proposal of the Bertelsmann Foundation.
In this sense, Social Cohesion Radar establishes certain indicators related to social ties, the sense of belonging and the focus on the common good. This proposal defines social cohesion as the quality of interactions between members of a community, defined in geographical terms and based on resilient social relations.
In relation to the previous paragraph, the active organization that the territories have had is highlighted, such as, for example, the neighborhood associations that have been able to channel information through the municipalities with the purpose of providing well-being to their community in times of uncertainty.
It is worth highlighting that the important work of innate social leaders and leaders, regardless of age, has contributed to the generation of spaces for democratic socialization, acting voluntarily and for the benefit of others to co-build a more gentle, empathetic community with a critical vision of reality.
Paula Luengo, psychologist and director of the ProCiviCo Project , indicates that the basis of social cohesion is found in prosocial behaviors that are related to empathy and solidarity. These behaviors would be capable of building positive relationships and interconnected environments. According to Luengo, no person learns to relate positively to their environment if they are not first capable of doing so with those around them.
Today we live in complex times. The global health crisis caused our lifestyle to change 180 degrees. It was a strong blow and a harsh reality. I think that the current events of Covid-19 have allowed us to see beyond, to know the unknown and to value the intangible over the material.
The good thing? We have had the opportunity to reflect on life itself, to use other forms of communication, such as digital platforms. Although they already existed, we never thought they would be the only way to socialize.
I think we learned to be more aware of emotions, to connect with them, to have self-control and to think of others. To truly care about others. We understood the value of the present and the uncertainty of the future. We are more connected to the environment and what happens around us.
As a society, we still have a long way to go. We have taken the first step and we must continue working every day to achieve more active, collaborative, non-discriminatory participation, based on trust and mutual respect.
