In the television sector: License fees remain the industry's sole source of revenue. Excluding BBC license fees, these revenues grew by 10% in 2004, reaching £3.6 billion. Commercial multichannel operators saw revenues increase by approximately 28%. Television shopping, with revenues of £17.87 million, is the primary source of revenue outside of license fees.
