7 steps to an effective Facebook strategy

Post by mostakimvip06 »

We have seen a lot of changes at Facebook in the past year, as 2020 brought a lot of new challenges, so Facebook wanted to help small entrepreneurs to present themselves to the world as much as possible. I told you what was new and what is still ahead of us at the Social Networks in 2021 webinar.

Today I'm going to tell you what you need to know to make your Facebook strategy work. A lot has changed in recent years, especially when it comes to algorithms. Due to the crowd on Facebook, the algorithms don't work as well as they used to.

Today, it takes a lot more effort and energy to reach your target audience and get noticed, which is key to success.

STEP 1: Defining your ideal customer

To attract the right followers, you first need to understand who your target audience is.

Ask yourself the following questions:

How old are your target followers?

Where do they live?

What kind of jobs do they have?

What are their challenges and pains?

How and when do they use Facebook?

When you start, simply look for people who would be your potential customers and join different Facebook groups. This way you will start building your base. Once you have a few followers, you can use Facebook statistics on your business Facebook page.

Based on these statistics, you can determine the characteristics of your followers, such as:

Age

Gender

Education

Relationship status

Location

Language

Using Facebook

Past purchasing activity

This is the foundation for success on Facebook. You can also use the free e-guide How to Find Your Ideal Customer.

STEP 2: Set goals

Facebook can be a great tool to introduce yourself to new customers, especially if you're afghanistan whatsapp number just starting out. However, it takes a few steps to make your first sale, as it doesn't happen after your first post. First, potential customers need to get to know you , and then the sale will happen.

Therefore, it is very important to set the right goals at the beginning, which can be the following:

Brand recognition

Getting traffic to your website or store

Getting leads (potential customers) with the help of free content

Nurturing and servicing existing customers

Gaining the trust of potential customers

Building a community of like-minded people.

At the beginning, you need a lot of useful and informative content through which people get to know you and your products.

STEP 3 Prepare a content strategy

Today, the most important part of marketing is good content that educates, inspires, and transforms. Content works on the principle of pull marketing, which means that you attract customers with good content.

It is very important to stick to the 70 20 10 rule , which means that only 10% of your content is dedicated exclusively to direct sales. 70% of your content is dedicated to education, relationship building, and getting to know your potential customers. 20% is about presenting the business from the background.

Posts should be diverse, from videos, photos, microblogs, infographics, etc.

STEP 4 Edit Facebook profiles

Social media is a very important part of the sales process and reflects your image online. Today, people research online and social media is ranked very high on search engines. Based on social media, everyone forms a first impression of you and your life.

That's why it's important to have your personal Facebook profiles organized so that it's immediately clear what you do. Your profile photo should be your face, not your pet or some plant :-) Your business Facebook page should also be immediately clear about what you do and offer. It's important to give your Facebook page a proper name that includes the keyword for your business.

STEP 5: Post regularly and at the right time

Once you've sorted out all the previous steps, you come to the most important part , which is consistently posting when your followers are active.

Regular posting and interaction with your followers is the key to success on Facebook. The lifespan of a post on Facebook is only 5 hours and if nothing happens to your post during this time (likes, shares, comments, clicks on the post), your post will disappear from the newsfeed (the space where you see posts).

This means that the time when your followers are active is very important, which means there is a greater chance that they will click, comment, and share your post, which will increase your reach.

STEP 6: Increase the reach of your posts with advertising

Unfortunately, due to algorithms, not all of your followers see your posts, especially those who are not interactive. On your Facebook business pages, your posts only reach 2 to 4% of your followers, while on your personal profile, it reaches about 20%. Therefore, paid advertising is also desirable for truly increased reach .

If you are a beginner, you can initially use promoted posts (the blue button under the post on the Facebook page), but for effective ads with specific targeting of certain groups, definitely use paid advertising with the help of Business Manager.

The basis for effective advertising is a properly placed Facebook pixel on your website or store, which helps you achieve successful results.

STEP 7 Test

There is no one-size-fits-all online marketing strategy, but it always takes a lot of testing to find the best recipe for your business. The advantage of online marketing is that everything is measurable.

The advantage of a business Facebook page and advertising is that you can monitor the statistics of an individual post or ad and the entire Facebook page.

Facebook provides you with detailed statistics through Facebook Insights . You can measure:

number of likes

reach (how many people saw your posts)

interactions (how many people liked your posts, how many clicked on or commented on the post)

which posts influenced new followers and which ones resulted in unfollows.
