7 Common Mistakes When Editing Digital Content — Quiz Semrush

Post by masud.ibne8800 »

In fact, it only aims to show some of the errors that, as a content editor for SEMrush in Spanish, I encounter most frequently.

To make the situation less dramatic, which in some cases is much more dramatic than you think, I have thought of including a short and simple test at the end of this post so that you can check your level while preserving your anonymity at all times.

But before we get to the test, I'll share the list of errors with you.

Take note of these 7 common mistakes when editing content!
1.- Anything goes!
We could also call it “absence of hierarchy.”

In this case, the text has a certain length but there is a homogeneity in the text that does not help the reader to discover what is most important or, directly, what is important in everything that he is reading.

This problem is easy to fix by using hierarchical titles that, whatsapp canada in different sizes, tell the reader what to expect.

In the following screenshot we see it more clearly.

Digital Content Editing - Title Hierarchy
Three types of Titles have been used (H2, H3 and H4) which, in addition to contributing to the SEO of this content, are the visual key necessary for the reader to be aware at all times.

2.- I score therefore I exist
The second error that we content editors frequently face is associated with punctuation marks.

And here we find the two extremes, that is, the lack and the excess of signs (commas, question marks and exclamation marks, etc.)

Let us remember that these narrative resources are of great help when writing, whether they are digital texts or not.

A tip that can help us with the use of commas is to read the sentence out loud and place them approximately where we see that we need to stop to take a breath.

As for whether to put a full stop or a period, in digital texts this rule is not so strict and we often get carried away by offering the reader a lighter paragraph.
